Race-day tips for virtual runs across India
Heat, traffic, monsoons, and early mornings — practical advice for racing from your city.
01Start early in warmer months
In most Indian cities, pre-sunrise starts keep heat manageable. Carry water even for shorter distances in summer.
02Choose routes with good phone signal
Dense flyovers, deep tunnels, and some metro corridors can drop GPS accuracy. Prefer open roads, waterfronts, or large parks.
03Respect local conditions
Monsoon: avoid waterlogged stretches. Festival traffic: plan alternate loops. Winter fog: wear visibility gear and stick to lit routes.
04Fuel like it’s a real race
Sleep well, eat a familiar breakfast, and don’t try new gels mid-run. Virtual doesn’t mean casual — treat the finish with the same seriousness as a bibbed race.
